I have made this card for a very dear friend who has recently lost a loved one. Its not an easy job making a sympathy card - but I know these are some of her favourite colours.
I had this image stamped - just waiting to be coloured and the card is based on a previous one that I made a couple of weeks ago but in more summery, bold colours.
The image is coloured with Derwent Inktense Water Colour Pencils. The little birdie was stamped, coloured and fussy cut.
I have entered this card in the Free For all Challenge this week - though it is not really a Happy Spring Card - but it is a beautiful spring garden with lots of flowers and beautiful pink blossom trees.
I was supposed to be out in the garden today - but of course crafting took over - and there is always tomorrow to go outside and work in my garden.
Hope you enjoy.

Beautiful Helen! I love the purples in the border and DP. Your garden scene is wonderfully coloured! The blue of the garden swing says 'come rest awhile'. Your friend will appreciate your thoughtfulness I am sure.

Just beautiful and it is sure to be appreciated. I love the added bird at the bottom....we must have birds in the garden. Hope you enjoy your work outside. I'm looking forward to some of that myself.

Oh Helen this is so beautiful, I love that you have personalised this for your friend. I'm glad your crafting took priority over gardening!! How good is it that we will both miss winter!!

Helen this is beautiful! Love the image & how you colored it. The purple is great but that little bird is what stole my heart - how sweet!!!
