Dina's challenge for us today is "Green Seas". Perfect because I just got the SU Fishy Friends set on ebay and I've been wanting to ink it up. I also wanted to try the new Cling Wrap Background technique.
Well, I took my Saran wrap and colored it with oceany Spectrum Aquas (Sea Green, Kingfisher, Teal, and Navy) and spritzed with water. Maybe I didn't spritz enough water? It dried pretty much immediately and didn't get any cool scrunch patterns. I'll have to revisit this technique. At any rate, I am still happy with my background. While it was really drying, I colored in my fishes and shined them up with some Wink of Stella. Then I moved back to the BG and drew in some sun rays shining down through the water with the Wink of Stella. Then I drew in some seaweed and painted it with Mowed Lawn Distress Paint. I wrote in a fun fishy sentiment using my Exactly Write Guide to line it up just right and very nearly ran my sentiment off the page. Eek! Lastly, I popped up the fishes just slightly using scraps of cardstock. I'm pretty much in love with this card. Thanks for a fun challenge, Dina!

Sweet - that is the set I most wanted to use, but I haven't created a suitable background yet. I really like the frondy seaweed and punny sentiment too.

It's so cute! I wonder if it was the paper that you used - some is just more absorbent, so it doesn't let the plastic cling and hold the pigment there. Neenah is one that would just soak it right in. It's a cool background anyway, even if the technique didn't work!

This is a great undersea bg even without the cling wrap scrunched patterns. Cute animated stamp set and and I love your coloring & shadings. Wonderful creation, Jen.
