The daughter of a friend is happily retiring early so I wanted to give her a card to celebrate that. I sponged ink on the bottom of the card through a stencil, then added various embellishments. I stamped the bird, colored with markers, and adhered above the dots. I die cut the sentiment 2x and adhered together, slightly offset, then adhered to the card. An easy yet cute card! Challenges: diecuttindivas.blogspot.com (#308, rainbows & use die cuts); www.asyouseeitchallenge.com (#145 for the sketch); and justusgirlschallenge.blogspot.com (#384, trending, use stencil.) TFL!

Such a cheerful wee bird! I love the sponged circles - I always think it is quite magical as the colours blend together. Thanks so much for joining us at As You See It.

Your palette of cheerful colours certainly gives your friend the right note to start her retirement on! Love that little bird and the sponged circles with the enamel dots interspersed. Thanks for being part of As You See It Challenge #145!
What a happy card! The little bird is so sweet and I love how you used the combination of a stamp and the enamel dots for the detail at the bottom of the card. Thanks for sharing it with us at the As You See It Challenge blog!
