A big congrats to Linda, the newest Featured Stamper! After strolling thru her sweet gallery, I chose THIS to case. I kept the CAS design & sponging, but used different colors, different images & made mine a Christmas card.
I had the white piece already die cut so I used some Distress inks to sponge in some pink/reds from the upper left & some lime greens from the lower right. The pine bough was stamped a couple of times w/ a combo of the green Memento inks and the greeting was stamped w/ black. I added a narrow pine green layer & instead of using another white layer to use the embossing folder on, I embossed the front of the card. The trick w/ this is, because I only wanted the front embossed, I had to put the card front in upside down in the folder, so it needed to be a pattern that looked good going either direction. Anything else would just look upside down 🙂
Congrats again, Linda! Closeups & the inside are on my blog: The Write Stuff
