For MariLynn's MIX215challenge. Like using stencils as a resist with sprays, I found this game out more muted than I wanted, but that's OK.
my first attempt came out even more muted, so for this one I used some Fabriano watercolour paper which I don't find great because it's too absorbent. I sponged it (DTP, a la TLC) with distress inks, laid an SU mask over and spritzed with water.
Then when I was sure it was dry, I stamped the shell, birds and sentiment, and then added the water stamp and some embossed "sand" with distress ep.
Pieced an extra shell on, stamped on a scrap of Bokeh background, stitched round the edges with a metallic thread, wiped with white ink and then dotted in with a white gel pen.
Base is scribbled with gelatos, blended with my finger and stamped with the sand from Shore Thing.

I could read the Psalms over and over again, they are so beautiful and inspiring. Your background is a really lovely compliment with that awesome stitching, Sabrina. Beautiful work!

Beautiful as always, Sabrina - You managed to get a lovely ghosted image in the bg and I really like the subtle waves you stamped in. I am amazed at the added glow you got by adding the white gel dots on the inner frame.

WOW ... this is really beautiful. Love all the special touches you've added to your background and stamps with the metallic thread, white sponged edges and white dots. So much goodness going on here.
