To step up the original simple card, I decided to split the background DSP into three strips and make the main image a tag.
I knew I wanted the DSP to cover the same area as the simple card (3-3/4x5) so I cut the strips 3-3/4x1-1/2 inches (allowed 1/4 inch for each of the two areas of white space).
The flower is punched out and adhered with dimensionals, and I used dimensionals behind the tag as well. I started with a 2x3-1/4 piece of Whisper White for the tag.
I used glue dots to attached the ribbon to the tag before I tied the cording around it. It helps keep the ribbon from moving and, for me, makes tying the cording around it much easier. The small glue dots from the Paper Pumpkin kits work especially well since they're thin.
