I can't remember the last time I played along in a F4A. I love the Mary Poppins books (and film), and would like to make a kite card too if I have time. But for starters and to fill a very present need for Scripture cards, I made this.
I was trying to think of something for the challenge, and then remembered this lovely ornate frame (and matching die) set that I received as a Tickle a Teapotter from Snietje. So I started thinking about the pictures Bert drew on the pavement - and got the DVD out this morning to check. Yep, some of them have lovely curly frames. I took liberties and changed his English country scene into something more like the west of Ireland (I kept his tree and river), so that I could add this lovely verse from a Psalm.
Masked off the edges, scraped chalk all over and rubbed it in. Loosely reverse masked an area to stamp the Brick Wall, stamped in Pumice Stone.
Stamped the verse.
Stamped the frame on white card and die-cut. Sponged round the edges with Antique Linen. Masked the top and side and stamped in a tree from Kittie Kits Master#1, and then drew in my scene.
Popped the framed picture up on foam and it's done.

This is sooooo comforting with the inspirational bible verse and the lovely framed picture. I loved the part of the movie where they jump into Bert's watercolor paintings. The frame on your little work of art is beautiful. Yesterday there was a funeral for a police officer that was attended by thousands. I saw it on TV, but my older son was there with members if our local police dept. The officer was extremely religious and so was his family. My son and I were both moved by how the family forgave the criminal and found strength in the Lord. Your cards featuring scripture are always do lovely and this one really speaks to me today.

Oh I was hoping someone would do the chalk paintings on the sidewalk!! That was so magical...couldn't think how to do it myself so I'm glad YOU did it! This is really lovely and I love the bricks with the scripture!
Beautiful card Sabrina and thanks so much for playing along!

I immediately thought of the Berts chalk scene. Everything about this is beautiful Sabrina. I love the CAS feel, especially considering all the different elements.
