Made for Global Design Project CASE The Designer Challenge #076: http://www.global-design-project.com/ where Kylie Bertucci was the designer for inspiration.
Kylie's card had a scattering of mum-like flowers in a central vertical panel. I took the mum idea, and used the goofy bird with the mum-like hair-do stamped in various positions and hand colored with a wide variety of Copic markers.
The Copic markers were:
Bodies done with:E13/E11/YR20, and Y17/Y11/Y21
Feather Hair-Do's: V09/V29, B04/B21, and R08/R22
Beaks: YR68
Each bird was die cut showing varying amount of body parts using a circle die. Each cutout circle was then hand pierced around the perimeters using a SU Paper Piercing Tool with the rectangular piercing template that was rotated around the edge of the circle for each hole.
The circles were mounted on the Bermuda Bay vertical panel using Adhesive Foam Strips, then trimmed with Paper Snips flush with the edge of the panel. This assemblage was then offset matted with Hello Honey Cardstock using Tombow Glue, then glued to the Kraft cardstock card base.
The sentiment (assembled from individual stamps from the Endless Birthday Wishes set was stamped on Whisper White, then punched out with Stampin' Up! retired Modern Label punch. The sentiment was mounted on the card using Adhesive Foam Strips.
