I stayed with the landscape orientation as Beverly Sue and changed the colors of inks, paint and stamp.
The bandana technique also includes doodling; I also included colors for the color challenge.
I stamped the paisley image with plum ink. Then using the point of a small watercolor paint brush, I dipped in acrylic paint and dotted randomly on the stamp image and also between in stamped images in patterns of 3.
Using a gold gel pen, I doodled around the images to complete the look.
I used delicate gold ink around the edge and adhered to plum CS base.
Finished with diecutting & stamping the sentiment.
I really love the look of bandanas and think this design comes close to it.
Back in the day bandanas only came in red, black & white. My FIL always carried one in his back pocket and called it a farmer hankie. He used it for wiping his hands working on vehicles.
Beverly Sue, enjoy your week in the limelight and happy belated birthday. What a wonderful way to celrbrate wit your SCS family!!
I found this tutorial for the bandana technique:

Wonderful bg design created with what looks like a very old stamp. Reminds me of Indian(India) wooden block printing. The dots add liveliness to the overall effect.

Jeannie your bandana background is fabulous, it always look like I spilt my lunch when ever I have tried this. I love how you used colours - great combination of the challenges. Love your story too.
