Using reinkers in the chosen colors with a lot of water on the aqua brush, I watercolored the crocus. When that was dry, I came in with a black Copic and colored in the bg. Edged with the gold paint pen.
I chose this particular crocus image for Easter since I thought the three blooms represented the Trinity.

Water coloring the black bg had to be a challenge in itself, Sallie! Your colors on the crocuses are so soft and delicate, just like the innocent lamb that was sent to be slaughtered~ What a Beautiful representation of what Easter is all about!

Beautiful card - and love your symbolism re: Trinity.
Crocuses in Canada are one of the most sought after wild flower in pasture or valley areas - they are gorgeous and are associated very strongly with the arrival of spring - new life.
