This is for the Sketch Challenge from last week, SC632. I dug deep into my stash for some of my oldest stamps from when I first started in the mid 90s. The hand is from Judikins and the sun is from my very first Stampin Up set. I don't know the name of it but it had a Sun, moon, stars and a curlicue that look hand carved.
I wanted to get the feel of a painting or carving on a stone/cave wall so I picked papers accordingly. I layered a torn edge piece of thin art paper with flecks in it onto a kraft card.
Then I got stuck for the longest trying to find the right combo of color to stamp on and embossing powder and never found the right one! I was also playing with metallic gold interference paint for the metal flower theme for last week's mixed media challenge. Had a brainstorm and tried using the paint to ink up the stamps. I love it! It was really hard to photograph well but in the light the gold is very bright and shimmery. I let them dry and cut them out.
I layered the hand onto some orange paper from BasicGrey (Archaic line from years ago) and used foam tape to pop it and the suns up. Finished with a piece of a border sticker from the same BG line and since the hand looked like it was waving, handwrote a "hi!" On the sticker since I couldn't find a small enough one in my stamps!
Thanks for this challenge! And TFL!

What a fun look with these stamps!! A friend offered me the sun set years ago and regretfully declined. Love the results of stamping with metallic paint!
