This is my first card for CC621. Maura is our hostess and she has chosen real red, basic black and whisper white for her color trio. Dessert this week is hearts.
This card was a quick one to make. My black card base is from Core'dinations. It is textured and embossed. I found it in my stash and decided to use it for this Valentine card.
I cut my dies -valentine's phrase and the hearts from real red cardstock. Both dies are from CottageCutz valentine collection. On the larger heart I stamped my sentiment - it's from the Lawn Fawn set "love letters".
Added my red ribbon and then the black & white twine. Had to get my white in for the challenge. Scattered some small hearts around the card and this one is done.
Hope you can play along with us this week. It's a chance to get your Valentine cards finished. Or to make a card for another occasion. Check out the other DT samples for more inspiration

Wow, Mary, this is so striking with the black bg and that great font in the die cut sentiment!! The twine is a great detail too! Glad you finally got it uploaded!!!

I like the contrast between the large embossed dots and the small red hearts on your background, Mary. The red lettering really pops against the black. Lovely Valentine!
