My old Valentine I made 2 years ago and is on my computer screen. I used the old layout, a different wheel, a heart punch instead of a stamp, punched a tiny flower out of the heart to leave the negative flower shaped space. They I added tiny gemstones instead of pearls. I think this has a more modern look to it with the wavy lines of the stems rather than the flourished ones the other wheel had.
This was a fun challenge and is something I should do more often since I have 4,000 cards loaded here on SCS. I should let you in on a little secret, SCS and stamping IS my daily trip I take rather than to a therapist. It helps me keep my sanity and it probably isn't really cheaper probably judging all the supplies and tools I have in my stamproom, but it is a heck of a lot more fun. Just saying.....

Ha, Liz, I think we all agree with you on craft keeping us sane & happy!! Love the contemporary take on your older version - I really like how you have punched the hearts!!

Agreed that stamping is the BEST therapy - most especially on the days I have to BEAT a card into submission - LOL -
Both your versions of this card are lovely but for me the "less is more" comes into play here - I think that reducing the amount of bling on the new card is actually more effective

I love your updated look. I like the new lines. I, too, look forward to my stamp therapy every day. I was just telling my husband and his brother who were complaining about all the political drama--"you know where there's no drama? On my stamping website"!

Both cards are lovely, Liz, but the one for today seems to show more sophistication in execution. Love how you stamped the sentiment over the design. (I think a lot of us feel the same about our card-making as therapy)

Both cards are beautiful, Liz. I love the hearts on the new card a bit more since they seem to pop. Stamping and card-making is definitely "therapy" for me too.
