I'm doing my own challenge this year - My 50 Truths Challenge. Each week I read an excerpt from the book "50 Truths Worth Knowing" and then create a card based on that excerpt.
This week's story is about a third-grade boy who dreamed of being a strong and mighty elephant in the symphony's Carnival of the Animals. When another child was given that part, he decided a lion would be good but alas, that didn't happen either. Instead, he was randomly selected to be a swan. A swan?!?!?! He was crushed.
But his teacher encouraged him and equipped him to be the best swan ever... dancing and twirling about with that characteristic that neither the elephant nor the lion possessed - grace!
The lesson for us: no matter what role we have in life - elephant? lion? swan? Let's be the best one we can be.
Dance!

Lovely card inspired by the except from the book that you are reading. A lesson for us all.....enjoy and use the talents that we have and don't bemoan those that we don't. Your card is wonderful.

Lovely card and story! I really like that you didn't colour in your little dancer. She looks light as a feather and epitomizes the grace your story relates! Great card!
