I saw this on the bus and thought I'd wait till I got home from work and could look at it properly . What a gorgeous watercolour background, and the vivid red just sings. Love the idea of using a dark colour for spattering. If you're using a brush for it, the first place I saw that was one of Heather's tutorials here, so I'll think that you're borrowing from her. Brenda, this is absolutely stunning. Your background is superb .....love the way the blue and mauve blend into each other and the use of the sewing grid is perfect. But the 'piece de resistance' is that gorgeous poppy image, and the deep vibrant colours on it.
