Festive Paper Lanterns was the technique for the TLC this week. I used some Japanese paper printed with cranes for my lantern and followed the provided instructions. I die cut a scalloped oval and scored it. I folded it accordion style, trimmed the ends and added hand cut 'caps'. The 'chain' is a bit of gold sticker from a pack of Elizabeth Crafts Peel Offs. The sentiment was stamped with gold pigment ink and heat embossed with gold EP.

What a perfect background that embossing folder makes. And I am so going to use a scalloped shape next time, they really look good. I love your tiny little blossoms with the gold centres. I hope your cranes bring you their promised long life and prosperity - if I am remembering my symbolism correctly!
