I am still making Christmas cards and sending them - I will send them until I am all caught up even if it is January! That's my plan anyway - sad but true.
This card is for the MIX challenge from last week which is to make a Christmas card with Mixed Media - I used Chalk, Ink, and Snowtex (what is snowtex anyway? - probably paint and sand or something like that). It also fits the CAS challenge from this week which is all about Peace on Earth and the message from the Moon many years ago. So I focused on the peace part - my card looks peaceful to me with the silent night sheet music and the snow.
If you look closely, you will see some bells which don't go with Silent Night or peace - I don't know what I was thinking - I got off track and all mixed up and then I tried to cover them up with stenciling and that didn't work and then I tried to cover up the sheet music a bit so it wasn't so obvious but I would have had to cover the whole card in Snowtex or something (oh, that gives me an idea for a card...). Does anyone else craft this crazy too? Maybe we need a challenge called Mixed Up Media?
Many hugz!

I applaud your beautiful efforts here!! I LOVE the Silent Night sheet music with a hint of green pines stamped over it. Of course that Snowtex is an awesome addition! :-)

Love your Snowtex and this beautiful card. The pine looks so wintry and reminds me of a peaceful forest of pines. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

I love the snowy, holiday, magical feeling you created with this bg and I laughed out loud at your description of your process - not that that ever happens to me - oh no, never!!!! (cough, cough).

I got such a kick out of your description, Nancy! This is such a gorgeous card and I think we all craft a little crazy. Love your unique and creative cards! You can think outside the box and I prefer to think of it as original, not crazy at all!

This is just stunning, Nancy. The curved music notes gives your card a feeling of movement. I love cream and green, but I usually end up using every color I own and can never make these elegant cards. The textures are fantastic.

Oh Nancy...this is just Beautiful!!! That's the best sheet music I've seen. Love the flow. And I don't see or hear any bells on it. That last parts a good thing. I can definitely commiserate with you. Most of my creating takes place in Crazyland....but they know me there and it's fun.

Love this card Nancy! The music in the background looks beautiful with the jingle bells in green and specks of texture! Glad to know that I am not the only one mailing out late :-) Hugs and Merry Christmas!
