OK!!! Sssshhhhh!!! I just had to upload this as I am so proud that I actually stamped!!! This is my Mother's Day card for my mom who just happens to come on SCS. Maybe she won't see it, but if she does at least she'll know I made her a card!!! I don't have the SU HMDay stamp and she is a purist so I used EFP little sayings that say how I feel about her!!!
I got this fun fold idea at the Austin Gathering in April. I do not remember who's card it was but I really liked it!
LOVE LOVE LOVE the color combo Kimberly!
Edited to add info:
After a couple of requests, here is info on the fold/design of the card, according to how I did it: Black base is just a quarter sheet of CS
Coral Layer is 6 x 5 1/4--scored on the 6" at 2" Celery Layer is 6 x 4--scored on 6" piece so that the fold over is 2 1/4 inches.
Celery Layer butts up to the score line of the Coral Layer and the Coral fold goes UNDER the Celery fold
Black/White w/RIW piece (2 1/8 x 3 3/4)layers on the Celery fold. I glued the piece to the Celerly fold on the right side but left the left edge unglued so (of course!) the card can open.
For the black ribbon--I made a slit in the coral piece and the green piece and the ribbon runs INSIDE of the card, comes up and around to be tied in a bow.
In hindsight--maybe instead of ribbon, BEFORE glueing the coral card to the black base, place HPHardware photo turns to hold down the Celery/RIW layer. Just a thought!
I sure do hope that this makes sense!!!
