For RJP's childhood memory vsn challenge, and for this week's wood free-for-all challenge.
The Christmas play at our little country church was probably the most meaningful memory of my childhood. That, and a well-worn nativity set that I got to set up each year. It was constructed of wood veneer, painted, and fit into little slotted stands. I enjoyed setting up the set and making stories to go along with each character.
I wonder whatever happened to that set...?

We had one, too. We always waited until after midnight on Christmas Eve to add the baby Jesus! Wonderful memory, Brenda. Absolutely beautiful card and it fits your memory perfectly.
