You guys! I finally made an Alcohol Ink Background that I like! I put the little cotton pad on my inking tool and squeezed on blues and greens and even some purples and pink and just kept pounding away at my glossy paper until I had made a beautiful coral reef. I'm so excited about it and I'm sure my little mermaid really enjoys swimming around in it.
For today's challenge of celebrating Hans Christian Andersen, I went to Google to find a list of all the things he wrote. My favorite is "The Emperor's New Clothes", but I'm not quite good enough to figure out how to make a card out of that. I thought about "The Ugly Duckling" but I don't have any swan stamps. What I do have is this adorable "Little Mermaid" stamp from Bugaboo. I wasn't even going to buy it, but it was only $0.30 during their flash sale and I can't resist a bargain. After I colored her, I added Wink of Stella to her tail, her top, and her flower, and added Glossy Accents to the bubbles around her. I'm not sure who this is going to yet, but some little girl is going to LOVE this card!

Your bargain gave you just the right stamp for today's challenge. Yes, I'm sure your little mermaid loves swimming in your 'background'. Lovely colors you created.

Loved The Emperor's New Clothes fable too! And of course, The Little Mermaid. We had a bunch of these stories in comic book format when we were kids and the illustrations were so good, would love to be able to find them again.
Love your sweet little mermaid and that alcohol ink background is totally fabulous!!
