The Friday Free For All Challenge, F4A353 Christmas Critters (11/25/16), was to make a Christmas card with a critter on it. This provided the perfect excuse to put some ink on a brand new House Mouse stamp that I couldn't resist buying when I saw it at JoAnn's. Mudpie Mouse is too cute for words, isn't he?!
The background for this card is SU's new deep emboss folder called Cable Knit and I love the warm cozy result when it is done in a soft natural ivory.
I decided to go totally CAS on the rest of the card, not even bothering to color Mudpie Mouse except for a little blush of color on his cheeks. The ribbon was attached by cutting a couple of slits in the cardstock and lacing the ribbon through, finishing it with a simple knot. The image panel was popped up with a layer of fun foam underneath to give it stability when it goes through the mail.
I finished it off with a dainty stitched tag with the tiniest wrapped peppermint candy. Is it not the cutest thing, EVER? I have been hoarding these Little B Holiday Peppermint 3-d stickers for 2 years and decided that it was time to use them or lose them. Much better to use them, while I can still find them, right?!
Thanks for stopping by to take a peek at Mudpie. You're Sweet for doing so!

Oh my! That is the very first HM stamp I ever bought (and one of my favourites)! Love how you used him. He looks wonderful in your minimalist style. That warm cable knit EF and plaid bow add such a lovely comfortable feel to your card. Can't believe how tiny that peppermint is! Super delightful!

This is wonderful! Love how you combined the mostly white with pops of red, the gingham bow on the cup handle, the cable knit embossed background, that great little peppermint embellie, and just the hint of color to Mudpie to make this a super-sweet creation!

I love this cute card. This has always been one of my favorite HM images. I always colored the cup, but I like it better white. Why didn't I think of doing that? Thank you for playing the F4A and sharing your delightful card.

Love everything cute thing about this card from the image, to the textured bg, to that little peppermint. Awesome.
