Having the challenges provide not only the sketch, but also the colors and bonus element (ornament) made this card come together pretty quickly. That is, if you discount the fact I started with a red card base and matting, then tired white, and finally settled on black! So, now I have two extra card bases in white and red waiting for inspiration :-D
The only tricks to this card was to make the gold banner longer than the SU die. I did this by running the die only part way through (so the square end wasn't cut), then using my paper trimmer to extend the two parallel sides to make it long enough to protrude out both sides of the sentiment panel.
The center decorations on the ornament were cut with a paper trimmer for the horizontal band, and a snowflake paper punch. The neck and hanging ribbon were "stretchy ribbon" from a candy box I received several years ago (yes, I am a pack rat when I see card embellishment potential!).
If the color challenge had allowed, I would have used a patterned paper that included greens and reds instead of the plain white for the bottom white panel, but it looks nice just the same.

Beautiful. Excellent job with the challenges. I like how you wrapped the cord for the ornament around the top of the panel. Wonderful use of the colors. The gold banner is nice. Well done. TFS

I'm so glad you like it, Karen B, Karen D, Roberta, Diane and others! It's a bit more "clean" than I usually make, so I was hesitant to say it was done when I posted it. Thank you for your supportive comments! -Donna
