This is for FS508 and Jeanne aka Penny627 is our featured artist this week. Congratulations Jeanne. You have a gorgeous gallery and I enjoyed every browsing minute. There were so many wonderful projects to choose from but I finally settled on your When Doves Sing. I loved this card and all the gorgeous elements. Your music background was beautiful and the sponging and sequins were the perfect enhancements for the dove image.
I actually tried from the beginning of my project to use a music background and to try and create something very similar. Let me just say that it turned out to be way out of my wheelhouse and after a couple attempts I had to settle going in a more clean and simple direction. I kept Jeanne's dove and Christmas theme and used sequins to embellish. I used an embossed holly background instead of the music. I added holly and sequins to the all white dove and probably should have stopped there but added several sequins to the embossed background. This is definitely a case where less would have been more. LOL! With all that said I had lots of fun with this project. You can see more details on my blog post at Kittie Kraft.
