For yesterday's MIX challenge from Janelle: I Spooked Too Soon. Plenty of mixed media on the front, and go HERE to see what makes it for her challenge.
It's also for Lori's Falliday Fest challenge to add texture. I have plenty, even if it's low key. My clock face is embossed with a stencil - but I inked the stencil first and heat embossed it. Then with assorted masking I sponged the clock face green, and the centre and background brown. I used Thoughts and Prayers to stamp foliage all over the clock face. For the clock surround I used a Hero Arts Script stamp and a leaf from French Foliage. Also I misted it with water, and brushed a little gesso through drywall mesh tape.
I masked again and stamped the centre with a woodgrain stamp, and using partial die-cutting and Spellbinders circle, cut a door in it. Then decided to add the Unity stamp for a bit more interest. A photo turn holds it closed. And then I distressed the edges (more texture) and added Stickles. The base is slightly largely and has some Metallic Seasonings chunky EP on it.
Finished off with a word die cut from gold and popped up on foam.

Wow Sabrina - there is always so much to take in on your cards.
This clock makes me remember the one my grandmother had - aged ivory face with handpainted vines . . . notstalgia . . . Very clever spring mechanism you created to help your owl pop.

Wowza Sabrina. Love the stunning layering on this card and that gold clock and then the wood faced clock on the inside. I have my FIL's old clock and I am also getting my grandma's clock soon and just love the antique of them. This really looks like those old antique clocks. Beautifully done.

Fantastic! Love all the texture and layers of your mixed media supplies, the clock face is fabulous embossed and the stamped woodgrain is a nice addition. Thank you for sharing it in the Mix-ability forum this week!

Texture galore and so many techniques on this one beautiful card! I'm not certain if my favorite element is the gold embossed clock or the sponged green with lacy leaves! I love it more and more as I go back and view it!
