I made this card especially for a new friend I've made. I hope she likes its. I sketched the tree, fence and grassy clumps with an artist pen and used Watercolor Minis fern stamp for the leaves and to fill in the grassy area. I used a scruffy brush to create the grass area and it gives lots more depth than using a sponge or painting in with WC brush and reinker. I used masking to place the watering can in front of the wheelbarrow and then messed up the flowers in the can so badly I had to do another can, cut it out and pop it up in front of the original. I already had so much time invested in the scene that I couldn't let it go. In the end the popped up can looks cute...but those flower stems were harder than the devil to cout out. I don't know about you guys but it seems when I am making something just to make it the project just seems to flow without a hitch. But the minute I have a special purpose for the project....I let myself get a little stressed and don't do as well. The set is Garden Angel and is retired and is not listed in our gallery.

This is quite beautiful Kittie! I like the can popped up. I feel the same way...everytime I try to make DH a card, it doesn't turn out quite the way I planned. If I'm making a card just for the fun of stamping, it usually turns out just the way I planned. Isn't that always the way! LOL! Thank you for sharing!

Kittie, it's beautiful. A little hint with the cutting of the stems, if you have a cutting knife and mat, it's a lot easier than using the scissors. I use the cutting knife on intricate detailing. It takes longer, but it gives a very clean cut.
