Thank you Ally for the creative license sketch this week. I chose to use this funky, cool, hip, and mod abstract leaves from Ryn at Designs by Ryn. They are a set of three. I stamped them on a busy patterned Basic Grey 'Indian Summer' paper. Embossed and fussy cut. They are propped up about the background that was dry embossed with an old Cuttlebug folder 'Bird on Branch'. Used another leafy pattern from the 'Indian Summer collection in a mustardy color for the bottom panel. There are ghosty leaves. The Hero Arts sentiment was also inked with the VersaFine 'Sepia' and embossed. Added the German Scrap in copper and a piece of string at the top.
I am not ready to give up fall, though the enormous oak tree in my yard along with 23 Japanese Maples are whispering otherwise. Their falling means lots of raking for me...so if I disappear again, you'll know what I am doing!
Happy Day~o

I love the jewel tones you used for your card, my friend. Those simple leaves say it all. Gorgeous copper, and the twine is such a departure from the bright colors........perfect IMHO!! I'm not ready to give up Fall either, though we have been raking bit by bit for the past three weeks. We have LOTS of maples (silver), and a few ash trees that refuse to give up the ghost (but they do give up their leaves). We are enjoying the titmice and nuthatches, and the blue jays make a ruckus if there are no peanuts. The three kinds of woodpeckers are happy with peanutty suet. I really LOVE Fall.....can you tell?
