I didn't have the punch used in the tutorial, so I had to die cut each branch using the "Garden Sprig" die! I didn't really count, but I guesstimate I cut between 20 and 35 branches. I also die cut a triangle base with the smallest "Pennants Mega" die to glue my branches to. I glued them all down with Perfect Paper Adhesive, and glued a brown cardstock strip to the back for a trunk. I wrapped red, green, & white baker's twine around for garland, and glued down some acrylic gems for ornaments. For the greeting, I used the one that says "Merry Christmas." I positioned it, using my tree to guide me, and stamped in Versamark. I heat embossed it in gold. I'm not sure if I like it, since the letters did get a hair "mushy," but I'm going with it anyway! I then glued the tree in place. I punched a small star from gold glitter cardstock & a slightly larger one from blue shimmer cardstock, and glued them together. I had to trim a few of the branches at the top so the star looked right, then glued the star in place. I really like how this turned out, though I doubt I'd be inclined to make this a regular practice, due to having to die cut all those branches!

Oh, Andrea, your tree is gorgeous! You did a great job without the punch. I love the twine and gems around the tree, and the circle sentiment is fantastic as it makes the star appear to be glowing!!
Wow! I am thrilled that you didn't let not having a punch stop you from making a tree. I know how much work it is to die cut that many branches. But with that said you made all the work worthwhile with your gorgeous tree, decorations and card. I love this!
