Made for the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown Technique Challenge #42-16: http://52cct.blogspot.co.uk/ that required either/both dry embossing and heat embossing.
I chose six different embossing folders that in some way reminded me of winter/Christmas, and embossed 1.5" square panels of Whisper White cardstock. These were glued to a 3.25" x 4.75" Soft Sky mat. This was then glued to a 3.5" x 5" Whisper White mat. The entire assemblage was then glued to the Soft Sky card base.
The "Making Spirits Bright" sentiment was stamped on Soft Sky cardstock with Versamark, and silver embossing powder was poured on it then heat embossed. It was die cut with the 2 3/8" Layering Circles die and attached with adhesive foam strips. I wanted a little more sparkle, so painted the entire silver embossed area with a clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.
The card was straightforward to make once I decided I wanted to use BOTH dry and heat embossing.
My silver embossing powder may be getting old since it took three tries to get a solid silver embossed circle. Does anyone else have experience with behavior of powders that are 5 years old?

Fun concept with the ef for a beautiful card!
As for the ep...I've had some far longer and don't think I'm having a problem but try adding a little clear ep and shake it well. If they're old, shaking them up probably is a good idea. Try going to WOW's website, maybe they have better solutions (it shouldn't matter what brand you're using).

Love this! Great layout and really shows off the variety of embossed patterns. Nicely done! Thanks so much for playing along with 52CCT this week! Deborah, DT.
