My mother always made cookies for Christmas....no candy, and I carried on the tradition except I started making gingerbread houses, as well. The kids loved decorating them with Necco wafers and candy canes. We made one every year until our German Shepherd dog ate the house one night, candy and all!!!

Kathy,
wonderful designer paper in the background, I love the little gingerbread men and the house! Thank you for sharing the story about the traditions in your home! I can't believe the dog ate the entire gingerbread house!

We couldn't either! She once ate the entire turkey that was left in the kitchen while my guests were in the dining room. When I went back to r fill the platter, no turkey and the dog was hiding!!

Fantastic BG and what a fun story of your sweet fur baby. Oh I can imagine the shock and while I might have been upset at the time you have a story to tell year after year now. Super cute ginger bread men.
