Brightly colored birthday cards for kids? I can do that--it's probably my favorite type of card to make. This is for Edna's Falliday Fest challenge/card drive. I really hope this card brings joy to a little girl at the Bright Star Center. I tried to make a unisex card, but sometimes pink happens. I'll make sure to include a truck card in my donation.
This card was so fun to make. I started out with the shooting star stamp from the Make A Wish set and decided that I wanted to stamp in all four corners. I've never managed to stamp a mirror image on anything and figured I'd give it a try with my Stamp-a-ma-jig. It didn't really work. I had to trace over the image with black pen. I painted the stars with Wild Honey and orange distress paint and then added Glossy Accents to it. Then I die cut my washi taped stars and added Glossy Accents to those too to give them a glassy feel.
The card is much brighter IRL.

Fantastic card. I love all those glossy stars and your wonderful color combo. Those washi tape stars would make a great pin with a glued on pin bacling. This sure will brighten a child's dat. Faved
