My card today is for two challenges. Continuing with the Falliday Fest cards, this is for Joyce's challenge. Using an image in a different way than it was meant to be. The sketch challenge is very friendly. Wanted to make a cas card, only used the scorpal to define the different panels. Painted the rose with water downed acrylic paints, splattered with white ink to look like a light dusting of snow. Did something new, made my own ink from the acrylic paint and gum Arabic medium. I will do it again.....dries quickly with no bleeding, and it matches the image. This will be going to a friend who loves purple. TFL

Jaw dropping gorgeous Linda! Your colouring is impecable! That scored embossing has a beauty all its own not including how well it enhances your lovely image. The calligraphy is so personal and so beautiful. This card is amazing!

Jaw-dropping!!!! The coloring of the rose has me shaking my head in wonderment, as does the gorgeous ombré tone calligraphy. All I can say is "Wow!" You knocked it out of the park with this CAS take on the sketch. Nicely done! TFS

Bestill my heart- this is soooo gorgeous Linda! Wow! This purple flower is just incredible - it looks real enough to touch! I am always trying to find the "perfect purple" ink and cannot seem to find what I am looking for. Here you showed me that I can make my own "ink" by watering down acrylic paint. Hummmm. Not something I would have considered on m own so thank you for that. This is just stunning and the way you scored this with the oval die and with the score pal is simply amazing- and elegant too! Your calligraphy sentiment is incredible and is the perfect finishing touch on this card! ~Karen.
