I added a 4th Tier, as I have enough nuggets for an extra layer!
I also made a few adaptions in particular in creating the inner rings for the cake base. I wanted to be able to make the rings easily, as I will be doing a class for this.
First, here are the dimensions for the 4 sizes of rings.
Cut 1" width strips out of cardboard, in 4 lengths: 10", 8", 6", and 4". I used old backing from DSP packs.
Distress each strip to make it easier to curl. I then used a mini stapler to staple the ring together, 3 or 4 staples is perfect.
Totally easy rings that can be recreated!
The base layer uses 11 nuggets, the second from the bottom layer uses 9 nuggets, the second from the top layer uses 7 nuggets, and the very top layer uses 5 nuggets.
For the circles between the layer you are going to want the following sizes in descending order from the top of the cake: 2", 2 1/2", 3 1/2", 4" or 4 1/2", and 5" for the base.
Created a 3D poinsettia for the top, adding strips of curled cardstock, and a few bows further down the cake.
I can't wait to share this one!
