This is my card for Ceal's Falliday Fest 2016 challenge. She wants us to make a card using the colors of fall and blending them together.
For my card I took some Distress watercolor cardstock and applied a layer of clear Gesso to prepare the paper.
After that dried I applied the distress crayons in fossilized amber, spiced marmalade, mustard seed and peeled paint. Used my finger and a little water to spread the color around.
I let that dry and then took the MFT sun-ray stencil laid it over top of the color and a wet (but not soaking) paper towel. I followed the stencil layout and started to remove color.
Once that was dry, I took various shades of fall cardstock and the CottageCutz autumn tree with swing, the leaves pumpkins and sunflower dies. I used some distress ink to highlight the colors.
The Give Thanks word is also from CottageCutz, and I cut 2x in chocolate chip cardstock for dimension. I attached it to the right side of the card and took it just slightly off the card for added interest. I didn't want to completely cover up the stenciled sun image.
Another Thanksgiving card completed and my first one for the Falliday Challenge.

Wowsers! I can't decide whether I like your background better or your die cut scene! Very likely that's because they make such a gorgeous whole! Love that amazing sun - thanks for sharing how you created it! The die cut tree and swinging owl are fantastic. Love the way you coloured them!
