I don't remember who first showed me this clever way to create an easy gift card holder or holder for money. You start with a standard envelope, scoring at 1 3/4 from one side, turn around and score 1 3/4 from the other side. The cs base is 2 1/2 x 4 3/4. The dsp is 2 x 4 1/4. I'll show the open view in the next photo. This is a great way to use scraps of old DSP. I cut out one deer and popped up as decoration. Of course you can add decorations but I notice that when I give these to the nieces and nephews they just rip them open to get to the money and on the floor they go. So I minimize the embellishments.
Thanks for looking and maybe this will inspire you to make some gift card holders for Christmas this year. Join us for Falliday Fest16 for inspiration and tutorials.
