HERE is the piece that inspired my card. It looked so much like a card, with layers and fussy cutting, that I put to paper what I had been thinking about all week.
As most of you know, our DGD is in culinary school, getting a BA in Pastry and Baking. I wanted to make a cooking themed Halloween card for her. I cut out the skeleton, made her an apron with a pocket, and made up a creepy recipe. I printed up the silly recipe, tearing the edges, sponging and curling them.
Spider Slime Cookies
2 c. batwing powder
1 c. sweet frog tongues
1 newt egg
1/2 c. snail slime
1 t. rattler venom
12 spiders (hairy)
Combine first 5 ingredients. Mix well. Stir in spiders until just moistened. Drop on ungreased sheet and bake for 8 minutes at 350. Makes one dozen.
She will laugh, because I am SOOOOOO un-spiderish!!

Oh, you did it! I'm glad this just came up as a thumb because these days I don't get time to play catch-up in the gallery. The vellum makes a fab spooky apron. Can you imagine even trying to gather that amount of snail slime!!!
