For the this week's mix challenge, I die cut leaves from a brown bag, applied glue then covered with black sharpie when dry. Next, I applied inka gold.
I was inspired by this autumn image from Digital Pencil Too site that Audrie chose this week for IC564, http://digitalpenciltoo.blogspot.com...in-leaves.html. For the bg, I embossed copper paper with the swirl leaves ef and tried distress inks then stains but neither showed much color when dry, and I also sprayed silver mica spray. I then turned to gelatos knowing the pigment would stay on top of the paper, coloring the various leaves using the brightest red, yellow, orange and green. The Quote is from Albert Camus and is computer generated and oval punched.

Ah, yes - I'm pretty sure we used the same leaves! I cut mine after the glue, so perhaps that helped retain the veins. But I think yours look lovely! I think too that even if your first additions of colour to the embossing didn't show much, they added to it - and then the gelatos are the cherry on the cake. You've really transformed that ef, which is one I love.
