Today's challenge, "Into the Woods" calls for using woodgrain. I had a few scraps of this birch designer paper from SU and I don't remember the name of the paper pack, but used it to get me started on this card. I embossed the birch trees on a piece of tan cardstock and added some cardinals die cuts for a pop of color. TFL

The red really pops against the lovely white birch trees. I miss cardinals a lot, I've never seen one since we've been out here in the Pacific Northwest. The blue jays look much different also, not like the New Jersey birds. They probably have more attitude back there too

Fabulous card, Claudia! I love the birch bark BG paper and the trees in white, on kraft! The cardinals really pop! Red, white and kraft is one of my favorite color combinations!

I love cardinals especially in winter...I guess it's that brilliant pop of red against a white backdrop. Beautiful design and love that you kept this simplified. The birch dp is drop dead beautiful.
