I received this stamp earlier today and wanted to play with it. I love their stance and when they fly overhead, but HATE that they hunt my Koi. Tip: a beach ball in the pond has kept them from my pond the last 3 years. YAY!!
I have only attempted no-line watercoloring once before, and tried again with this. It didn't work out well. I used mostly distress inks and after allowing to dry (and trying to add detail back in) I decided to ink up the image, first the tree trunk (vintage photo), then the Heron (hickory smoke) in order to add the details again.
I also realized one of the panels from my earlier sketch challenge was wrong, oops, so decided to try again.
*Stamped SU card base w/SU Canvas bg
*Used SSS Smile die and MFT dies for the circle and image panels
You know, even with a ton of errors, I was still able to salvage this and will still send it out, eventually.
Thank you for commiserating with me!

Oh my goodness I don't know what to suggest first...a little nana nap or a nice glass of wine...I have done both and I am here to tell you that every itty bitty inch of this is fabulous!!!! Your no-line water colouring is PERFECT. Everything about this card is perfect my friend.

Wow! I think this card is just amazing. What a fabulous stamp and you watercolored it beautifully. Good tip about the beach ball. My niece had that same problem with some kind of bird getting her pond fish. Oh, and I like your title.

Awesome card. I like the beach ball trick. Fun fact, the only natural predators they have are Eagles. They prey upon them from eggs to death. We have a family of blue and white herons loving here. They can really eat the fish.

Gorgeous card! I love it! I find no-line water coloring to be really hard too. You have done a terrific job here - everything works beautifully! Great job! ~Karen.
