Barbara is our hostess this week and she has chosen: melon mambo, dapper denim, mint macaron, and for dessert: ribbon. I tried to include dessert but it just didnÂ’t work for me this week.
On a separate piece of cs I stamped the flowers from this new (to me) fun set from Concord and 9th. For the cluster of black dots I used a stamp from a different set (not sure which one). I discovered something new to do with the MISTI, in that if I sponge on the color and stamp first, then add ink with the actual ink pad the second time (over a portion of the stamp or a separate stamp that covers only a portion of the first), I can get 2 tones of a monochromatic look!! Worked great on this cluster of flowers! I did add some darker tones to the leaf and stem with a copic marker. Added stickles to the dark blue and in a few other random places for a bit of sparkle. Sentiment is a SSS die cut. Mounted this panel to the card front with dimensionals.

I LOVE this, Maura. The bold, graphic nature of the flowers and your color choices totally jumped out of the gallery at me. That black die cut "thanks" grounds everything so beautifully!!

The wonderful things that can be done with the MISTI just go on and on. I just don't know what we did without it. I love your beautiful card, Maura. I got that image, colored it, and was never happy and didn't upload. After seeing yours, I should give it another try.
