I made this card for the double alphabet challenge because this is the next card I need and for the letter N for Neverland (do you remember the movie, "Finding Neverland"?). It is about a land hidden within another land and only certain people can see it. My SIL loves to combine drift wood with sparkly elements in her home and the effect is stunning. Since I am giving this to my SIL tomorrow, I tried to combine the rustic with the sparkly. The fairy is super sparkly, but it just does not show up in the photo at all. I cut the "tree" out freehand, embossed it, and took a brown ink pad to the raised areas of the embossing. Cut the oval out of the middle of the "tree" and inset the oval dsp and die cut from the fairy kit. The oval part is recessed, but because the glitter card stock is so thick, it does not appear recessed much. I added a sentiment from the stamp set and some sparkly clear sequins as a finishing touch. This card nearly did me in - literally. I am in a creative slump and the clean and simple style that I am best at just did not work for a card like this so I had to "pull a rabbit out of hat" in order to make this work. Lord! But in end, I do like it. Whew!

All your details are wonderful. Love the combination of the fairy, glitter and the woods!, I think that is where the fairies hang out, in the woods. It just makes me think of fairy tales. . Your SIL will love this beautiful creation!

Wowsers, this is great Karen. I am sure your SIL will just love it. Free handing the tree, well done! And then cutting the oval and explaining all the marvelous magic of Finding Neverland. This is perfection. I like the color combo of turquoise and the brown too. This is very creative!
