Hi,
I used a bg paper from Lavinia for the start of this card. I stamped my fairy with VersaMark and embossed with a combo of black powder and Lemon SF jello. I don't really like the way the jello made the fairy a little spotty but I expected it. When I added Stickles to the wings some of the yellow came out of the jello but that was an unexpected happy accident. I used some Distress inks around the edges and added some black die cuts instead of stamping for extra foliage. This is a little lacking in color to me but I guess it is early dawn or early dusk and this fairy is adding some lemon sprinkles to the water so it taste better for all the forest creatures who drink there...she is so considerate! What a sweet fairy!
My base is a light lavender to match the inside but it looks pinkish to me...must be the difference in paper and how it picks up light to the camera!
Thanks for looking!

I think the effect on the fairy is great - and on her wings, even better! Silly me, I hadn't expected the colour and texture, never having tried this before. Robin, this is a magical beauty, and doesn't need any more colour, it's a perfect soft twilight light. Love those lemon sprinkles.

Robin, I love the soft colors in your beautiful card. It's framed so nicely with the hanging vines and what a marvelous idea to have the fairy sprinkling lemon into the water. Thank you for getting smelly with me and adding your gorgeous card to my challenge!

This is definitely an early morning fairy - going by her sparkly wings that look like they have just caught the first rays of the sun. A very magical card.

What a gorgeous fairy with her lovely wings!! The unexpected accident really turned out great! The background paper is perfect for the card, and I love the fairy sprinkles! The black hanging vines are fantastic and completes the awesome card!

I'm not sure what I like best, your card or the story! I love lemon water, where is she, we'll have a drink together. ;) Great idea and very effective (accident or not) with her and her wings. Beautiful!

You have such sweet fairy friends, Robin! It is wonderful that she has turned the water into lemonade! The darker shaded colors around the edges is all the color needed here because they are such wonderful colors! The base does look a little pinkish but the colors around the water are the same in the picture as I see it - so it's perfect! This silhouette image is so wonderful!
