This card was fun to make! First, I stamped the book on mauve cs, then folded on the edge of the spine, and cut it out as two layers with a fold on the left. Then I trimmed off just the pages part of the image to leave the only the book's cover as the card front. I stamped it again on white, cut out, and glued onto the inside to create the page that is seen when the card opens. Hop that make sense -- I also posted a picture of the inside of the card which may help if this is unclear...
My daughter loves vintage books, so I tried to go for that look as I created the collage for the cover. I'm happy with the way this turned out. Now I just have to wait until her bday so I can give it to her.
