The latest exchange student I hosted was a girl from Ghana. She was here on a scholarship from YES Kennedy-Lugar. It is to promote understanding between Americans and youth from mostly Muslim countries. She is the most wonderful person and I concider her my daughter.
Tomorrow or Monday, depending on where you live is Eid al Adha, Festival of Sacrifice. It is a big Muslim holiday, but not everybody is happy with the slaughter of animals that take place. I might not agree with the excess slaughter, but I do want to honor her holiday, so I made her this card. I wanted it to be rich, but simple, and I think I achived that.
Thanks for looking.

This is stunning in it's simplicity. You let the image tell the story, and it is very rich looking. Thanks for sharing the story about your student friend. What a great relationship the two of you have made. TFS

Beautiful card and love how you are honoring her. She will love that you have remembered this holiday, the meaning, and most importantly, that you still think of her. Bless you!
