Polly has us going black and white today in the Mixability Challenge. I loved the Ansel Adams photos and decided to head in that direction. I have a stash of papers I created long ago by dissolving the ink on National Geographic pages with an orange based solvent. I picked one that didn't have colored ink. I stamped my trees on the torn sheet. I used a black marker to fill in some uneven stamping (this is still drying-the pages are glossy). I cut a black frame and distressed the edges with my scissors. I took first white then black distress Paint daubers and smeared around the edges of my card base. Decided to go without a sentiment as I may frame this one later.

That solvent bg is GREAT and really represents the mood here (like a lot of the Ansel Adams photos)..the trees are perfect! I like the idea that you might frame this....it is certainly frameworthy Gail. Your own framing using the dabs of white and black distress paint is very cool on its own. Thanks for playing along today ;)
