This card is a pure unadulterated indulgence on my part and I have loved every minute of doing it.
When I was doing the first color challenge card for this week "Oh Christmas Tree" I suddenly thought an old PSX botanical stamp of a poinsettia would work perfectly.
Brisbane is in the subtropics and poinsettias grow really well here, we have three in our garden one of which is pink.
This card is watercolor painting using the SU re-inkers mentioned above.
I put straight ink into one pan, two parts ink to two parts water into another and two parts ink to four parts water in another then using the weakest wash first I built up the colors.
There was a few stops and starts which caused some slight blooming that I had to try and get ride of. I don't know why family think they aught to be fed!!!!
I'm not sure that the greeting is in the right spot but I had a slight accident when initially stamping the image which left a couple of faint marks so the greeting is covering them, other than that I'm happy with the way it turned out.
Cheers
Marg

This is just stunning, Marg. Watercolor is one of those mediums that I love and can't
do. I never thought of diluting the colors....I am inspired by you to try watercolor one more time. Pinned and faved. By the way, I have been trying to convince my DH and 2 sons that cereal and milk would make a wonderful dinner...we could have a different type each night for variety.

GORGEOUS! GORGEOUS! GORGEOUS! I love everything about your beautiful water colored poinsettia's here. I have this very same stamp and I am going to dig out and use now- thank you! I never cared for this image that much due to all the spaces in between the petals. Of course, you solved that brilliantly with the wash of blue that looks amazing and truly brings these flowers to life. I giggled (with you) about the family needing to be fed (dang!) and how we sometimes wobble or drop our stamps onto our projects. I would say this is a happy accident because your sentiment looks great where it is. The sequins are the perfect finishing touch on this glorious card! ~Karen.

I giggled out loud with the comment about the family being fed!!! The nerve! My husband knows where the kitchen is, why can't he use the stove...oh wait that would require him to get things from the pantry and refrigerator. Hahaha I digress!
Marg, another gorgeous piece! How do you come up with so many ideas and the results being beautiful!?! It is truly wonderful that you are our featured stamper ~ YOU ARE AN INSPIRATION!
