This is my card for CC599. Karen is our hostess and she chose Wild Wasabi, Blushing Bride and Soft Sky. Dessert is to use glitter.
I love making Christmas cards in non-traditional colors so that's the direction I took this week. The dies I used are part of the CottageCutz Christmas 2016 release. This one is the Woodland Mailbox.
I started the card by sponging my background with soft sky and blushing bride inks. I like the softness of these colors together. I used a sheet of fun foam to lift it off the wild wasabi base.
Then I was onto my die cuts. I used Stampin'-Up cardstock in this week's colors and then sponged the matching ink to get a darker gradient on the cardstocks. I used neutrals of smoky slate, soft suede black, kraft and chocolate chip cardstocks.
I cut my snow drift and the snow on the mailbox from white glitter paper. Added a few sequins, stamped my greeting and that completed my card.
Hope you can play along with us this week. Check out the other DT samples for more inspiration.

I am totally in love with the sweet little creatures on this card, especially the hedgehog (the mascot for bobbin lacemakers!). The bunny and bird are cute, too. I love the sparkly snow on the ground and the mailbox!
