I recently made this card for one of the Alphabet Crew member's birthday so I waited to upload it until after her birthday. Then I realized this fits today's Alphabet Challenge for the letter L. Cool! This is a Wendy Vecchi technique using alcohol ink I saw demonstrated by Catherine Pooler. Also, I cased myself when making this card: Flutter By Butterfly by Art Deco Diva at Splitcoaststampers. Cut the detailed butterfly die from glitter white cardstock. Now place circle die over the butterfly space that was just cut out, and die cut the circle. Note: Keep all the little pieces because you may decide to use them. Die cut acetate with same circle die. Drop Tim Holtz alcohol ink onto the glittered white cardstock circle until it is colored the way you like it. When dry, adhere acetate circle die behind colored circle, then adhere glittered butterfly to acetate (just adhere the body portion and the right wing. If you have any little pieces, you can put them back in once the butterfly is in place, or not. Sponge silver ink thru stencil for background on card layer, stamp sentiment, adhere the circle to card layer using foam tape, then apply all to black card base. This is a really fun technique to do.
