I actually made this card a little while ago, and have not gotten around to posting it. I remember thinking when I finished it, "whew, that was a lot of layers!" Imagine my surprise when the letter for today's alphabet challenge is L. So this is my entry for Lots of Layers. First I cut the dark brown scalloped piece at 4.25" from the Cricut Elegant Edges Cartridge. I did this because the Gina Marie Floral die was just lost on this background paper so now it stands out more. The intricate piece in the middle of the flower is also part of the flower die. I cut out several cut, fold and tuck dies, then used the one that worked best behind the sentiment piece. The card still needed something else so I die cut the strip piece at the bottom of the card (I had one eye shut and one eye open because I was worried I was going to ruin the whole thing). I colored the pale yellow Recollections gem in the middle of the flower with a brown spectrum noir marker so it shows up better. This card is really "out of the box" for me to make, but it was fun to watch it all come together too.

Karen this is gorgeous! I love all the intricate details, that medallion is gorgeous and that horizontal line at the bottom of the card I've been staring at trying to figure it out. I'm guessing that is what you made with the fold and tuck dies? However you did it, it adds such great interest to your card. I really like that patterned paper too!

Karen, this card is awesome! I love that layered mandela and also the little sentiment one. That is a great choice for bg paper. I have that paper too and love it. I also love the cut/folded decoration near the bottom. that is a cool finishing touch.

Beautiful medallion on that pretty paper. I think I might have that paper pad too. That is a neat treatment you did at the bottom. It really balances your card.

OMG, this is so BOHO in design. I love it! But whew, what a lot of work! My husband wants to get a BOHO pattern bed set. It always make me think of a cross between Indian and hippy designs, lol. I like both so it works for me. Terrific job and it all came together in the end to make an awesome card.
