So I was going to make my card yesterday but then...I saw how amazing the gallery was shaping up. Everyone has really pulled out their A game. I was a bit intimidated. What do you do when you're feeling the pressure....you eat! So I went out to lunch with my sister. We went to Cecil's, a fab Kosher Deli here in St. Paul, and had reubens! When I came home I was too stuffed to move and I couldn't lift even a stamp.
This morning I was better prepared to create my cooking card. I love this cute image and decided that this is what Ann looks like when she's making one of her famous cheesecakes. No doubt one of her grandchildren is peeking over her shoulder (maybe trying to get the recipe...lol). I had these cute little kitchen utensil stamps from a MS Christmas set and thought they would fit perfectly in the scene. Anyway hope you like it..now I need to get out and walk to work off some of yesterday's calories!

Reubens are the best! But they are hard to come by in the Florida Keys. sigh. I miss New York sometimes.
This card was certainly worth putting off until the moment was right. You frame your focal points so creatively, Pol. Love the buff gingham against the strawberry pattern amd love both as a foil to the pale yellow and dark green plaid tablecloth. Unexpected and a wonderful choice!

Oh Polly, I hope you're joking about feeling intimidated, I don't think I've ever seen a card of yours that is anything but great! But if this is what you produced after "digesting" the challenge - and your lovely lunch - it was worth the wait. This image always makes me smile. I love the setting looking through the window. For some reason, even though there is zero resemblance, it brought back a memory of the curtains in my childhood kitchen, and I wouldn't even have thought I could remember the pattern. You definitely get extra cookies with the sentiment, too.

Number one, you are amazingly talented and creative - you should never feel intimidated! Number two - this card is fantastic! The image is adorable, and your layout is fabulous with all the wonderful patterned papers creating your darling view through the window! Number three, I'm drooling over the thought of a Reuben right now!
Wish I could join the party this month, but preparing for a trip next week makes it almost impossible. Fair exchange, I think!

What better way to get in the mood than to go eat, enjoy the food that a CHEF of sorts made for you and as we see it worked as your window card is sweet indeed. Love the colors used and the wee one sneaking a peek.

I wish I could create such a remarkable piece of art while feeling intimidated, Polly!! The words, intimidated and Polly, are an oxymoron to me! I love this beautiful card with all the wonderful elements! The gorgeous lady stirring her bowl of goodies surrounded by all her kitchen tools and beautiful curtains is a great image!! Great job, Polly!

Oh Polly, this is a wonderful. I love the homey scene you've set with those cheery curtains and color-coordinated utensils. And the sentiment is definitely worth some extra cookies.
