Love this technique and did something similar back in 2010 and have only just used the last of that paper in the DTGD challenge.
I will also have saved some from this pressing as I use a sheet of watercolor paper on top as well as underneath. I get excellent imprints from both sides all be it slightly different.
The geraniums I use are hot pink but always come our this purple color. I am thrilled the leaves pressed as well as they did and there is even a slight hint of green, hence the reason for the Pear Pizzaz to try and bring that out more. I also stamped over the greeting a second time with Versa Mark and clear heat embossed to darken the greeting.
Earlier in the day I had been spring cleaning my wardrobe and draws and found some draw liners in a gift box I hadn't used tide up with this purple ribbon. I lined the draws then used the ribbon so a win win situation. lol

I forget how fabulous this technique is until I see jaw dropping gorgeous cards like this. Marg you must be thrilled to bits with this beautiful card. I love everything about it.

Your card is absolutely gorgeous! I believe it is the clearest pressed card I've ever seen! Love this color (even if it's not the color we see in the flower on the plant) and love the green you pulled out, too.

This turned out spectacularly, Marg. It is surprising the colors that come from the flora when it is pressed. You're so smart to make a larger piece so that you have some for future use. Love what you achieved here for your beautiful card.

I used two sheets with the petals sandwiched between and it certainly did work well. It sounds as if you knew in advance exactly what colour you were going to get...a bonus. I'm intrigued as to how you did the sentiment as it appears to have some floral imprint; did you mask it off? I love the effect of the leaves, reminds me of developing photo negatives with my dad as a child, they're like an inverse colour.

Gorgeous, Marg! Your geraniums came out perfectly! Mine were squished a bit too much & ran quite a bit..then they wouldn't release from the w/c paper. Even though mine are a bright fuchsia, they also turned purple. Yours is absolutely fabulous!

Wow! I can sure tell that you had a plan when you started this. Unlike me, who just started smashing flowers! Your geraniums made absolutely gorgeous impressions. The other day I still had a couple of geranium blossoms but they were gone when I went to look for them today. Your card is just fantastic and well planned!
